Supermarine Spitfire MKIa

These are images of one of only two airworthy MKIa Spitfires in the world. The aircraft has recently undergone a full ground-up restoration by Personal Plane Services back to its original condition when it left the Westland factory in 1941. It went on to be the mount of famed Battle-of-Britain 'Ace' Jim 'Ginger' Lacey when he was 'A' Flight C.O. at 57 O.T.U. at Hawarden.
